I visit four markets a week, Sheringham Market every Wednesday (April-Oct), Fakenham Auction Site market every Thursday, Diss every Friday and Sheringham every Saturday throughout the year.

During the summer months Myriad Life takes its beautiful costume & natural jewellery, colourful pashminas, summer bags and batik pictures to shows around the county and beyond (well Suffolk).

Visit http://www.myriadlifeonthemarket.blogspot.com for more news about the country fayres and shows we visit.

Unfortunately Strumpshaw Steam Rally was another washout for us all. A big shame as we know the organisors put so much effort in to make it a success but without decent weather what can you do?

If you want to know more about markets in North Norfolk, check out the blog above, or visit
http://www.sheringhmarket.blogspot.com a site all about the traders of Sheringham Market, this lovely coastal town plays host to a large market where you can find a huge array of goods all at reasonable prices, friendly traders full of cheeky banter - a warm welcome awaits. The blog will give you more details of the traders that show there, what's happening, events and more.

Also http://fakenhammarket.blogspot.com is well worth a visit for much the same reason as above. These are two very different Norfolk markets, each with their own unique feel and atmosphere but in essence they are the same, friendly, fascinating and fun!

It would be really great if everyone checks it out and lets me know what they think.

I'm trying to get more people interested in shopping at markets partly because I'm a trader myself but also because I think a lot of younger people don't see them as an option when they go to look for clothes or jewellery. It's too easy to just get it all at the supermarket or on the high street.

I'm concerned that unless we use markets we'll lose them and that would be a great shame for many communities.

Check out www.sheringhammarket.blogspot.com I've set up to promote our lovely market. Us traders have decided it's time to tell the world about our market there, every Wednesday (March-October) and Saturday throughout the year.

Sheringham is a coastal town not far from Cromer in Norfolk. There's lots to see and do so come on over and say hello!

I've done the same for Fakenham Market - more information at www.fakenhammarket.blogspot.com. Fakenham Market takes place every Thursday. There are two markets at Fakenham on the same day, well three to be strictly accurate:

The Traditional Town Centre Market,

The Auction Site Market (where you can find the Myriad Life Stall - click on Myriad Life website and the

Antique and Collectables market which is also on the auction site.

As if that isn't enough for Fakenham there is also a Farmers Market one Saturday every month - check out the blogspot site for more on this.

In between setting up blogs for the above markets I set about devising a poster and we've been devising a marketing plan for the markets. It's all good fun but on top of this I have to keep my stall up to date with the latest fashion jewellery.

Troubles with my van this week have left me brassic which is a nightmare quite frankly and if that isn't enough to put me in the duldrums, snow, yes snow is forecast for the Easter Bank Holiday, traditionally a very busy time for trade. The Myriad Life Jewellery Stall is supposed to be showing at Fordham Market nr Newmarket on Easter Monday - best get my thermals on again - yikes, I thought winter was over.

Please someone say something to cheer me up!!!
Happy Easter.

Life on the market this week has been a mixture of fun and frustration. Never mind my beautiful jewels and stunning batiks, disregard my colourful pashminas, one man at Fakenham strode into my stall and declared he'd only come to look at the weights (156lbers holding rooting the stall to the ground in blustery winds.) He wanted to find out the make.

I've heard of train & plane spotters but weight spotters, well that's a new one on me!

I have to be up at 5am, yes 5am to start setting up the stall at 6am. This is the earliest day of the week and usually leaves me pretty shattered. Friday and Sat aren't so bad.

However, spring is nearly here, the mornings are lighter which means I don't have to fumble around in the dark so much trying to get the bars together. And with a wing and a prayer it will soon get warmer. It's a real bind having to wear several layers, I get exhausted just getting dressed.

"Oy, you've lost weight" everyone says on the first day I shed a few layers like a sleepy caterpillar. I wish!
